Volunteer
The Dream Factory of Kansas City is fortunate to have a strong network of volunteers and supporters who never cease to amaze in fulfilling even the most challenging dream requests. We encourage our volunteers to bring their unique talents and interests so that their experience will be just as personally rewarding as it is for the children we serve.
As an all-volunteer organization, our volunteers are the heart of advancing our mission of serving children.
Here are a variety of ways you can get involved with the Dream Factory:
Dream Managers - This special volunteer role plays an integral part in making a child’s dream a reality. Once a child has been approved for a dream, the Dream Manager works directly with the child and his or her family, taking care of all the arrangements to make it happen. We are currently seeking additional Dream Managers.
Board Member – The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance and operations of the organization. Current openings include: Director of Sponsor Relations, Director of Fundraising and Grants, and Vice-President.
Committee Member – Committees are formed to support the work of certain operational functions and special events. Current openings include: Golf Tournament Committee
Special Event Volunteer – One-day opportunities to help at events such as the Golf Tournament, Boulevard of Dreams, Day and the K and more. Current openings include: Boulevard of Dreams Onsite Event Volunteer

Organize a fundraiser
Many organizations enjoy hosting their own fundraiser and designate the Dream Factory as a beneficiary of the proceeds. Golf tournaments, car washes, car shows, bike rides, 5ks, pub crawls—the list of creative fundraising ideas grows each year. It’s a great opportunity for your group to have fun and make a difference.
